Jennifer Aaker

Jennifer AtkinsA social psychologist, Jennifer Aaker is the General Atlantic Professor of Marketing at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Her research spans time, money and happiness. She co-authored the award-winning book, “The Dragonfly Effect: Quick Effective Powerful Ways to Harness Social Media for Impact.” A recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award, Citibank Best Teacher Award, and George Robbins Best Teacher Award, she teaches courses like Social Brands, Designing Happiness, and How to Tell a Story.

Aaker received her PhD in Marketing, PhD Minor in Psychology, from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.  She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.


Amber Saloner Tennant

Director, User Operations, Facebook

Amber SolanerAmber Saloner Tennant oversees Product and Mobile Operations at Facebook. She leads the teams responsible for improving product quality, developing operational systems to support new products, and producing the Help Center. Prior to Facebook, Saloner Tennant worked at Teach For America, where she led the pacific coast recruitment team. She also served for two years as a Teach For America corps member, teaching fourth and fifth grade in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. She serves on the board of CODE2040, an organization aimed at increasing the racial diversity of engineers in Silicon Valley.

Saloner Tennant received her BA and MBA degrees from Stanford University.


Sally Thornton

Sally ThortonSally Thornton is the Founder and Chief Curator of Forshay, a new recruiting firm that provides resources on-demand.  Previously, Thornton co-founded and ran Flexperience, a company that the San Francisco Business Times named a  "Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies" in 2010. Thornton supports other female entrepreneurs through her leadership roles at Stanford University’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research, UC Hastings WorkLife Law Board, and as a Board of Advisor role at two start ups: RallyOn, Inc. and  Thornton is a guest lecturer at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.  Thornton earned her BA in International Relations from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

La Tasha Woods

Marketing Communications Specialist, Informatica Corporation

La Tasha WoodLa Tasha Woods is the Marketing Communications Specialist at Informatica Corporation, responsible for building employee awareness and engagement within the Marketing organization. Woods leads the internal employee communications process and acts as brand steward to amplify the brand of the Global Marketing organization. She joined Informatica from Shutterfly, Inc., where she was the Executive Assistant to the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Woods holds an MBA in marketing from Notre Dame de Namur.
