Alicia Myles Sheares

Alicia Myles Sheares, Ph.D., is currently an Assistant Professor in the Management Science and Engineering department at Stanford University. Her research sits at the intersection of race and organizations with a specific focus on how underrepresented professionals of color fare in the United States. Her research has been published in the Sociology of Race and Ethnicity, Big Data and Society, and the International Migration Review, and has been supported by the American Sociological Association, and numerous institutes at UC Berkeley and Stanford. Alicia was a University of California President’s Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA, received her Ph.D. in sociology from UC Berkeley, her M.Sc. in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford, and her a B.A from Spelman College.
